A man has been charged and another man has been recalled to prison after they were arrested by officers on #problemsolvingpolicing patrols in Stoke-on-Trent. On Thursday (27 November), officers were on foot around Longton and Fenton, responding to concerns raised by the local community and maintaining a visible presence. Whilst in Longton, they spotted a man who was wanted for recall to prison after release on licence which is revoked. Following a foot chase through the town, a 37-year-old man, from Longton, was arrested and has since been recalled to prison. Officers were then on foot around Fenton, when they spotted a man who was believed to be wanted for a number of offences. A 52-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested and has since been charged with theft from a motor vehicle, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place. It comes after a pair of sunglasses were taken from a car in Fenton on Saturday 15 November and a separate report of a man being threatened in Fenton on Tuesday 17 June. The man is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday 18 November. #VisibleLocalTrusted | ||
